Don Bosco helps Abdulia Bangura

Abdulia Bangura came in contact with Don Bosco Fambul in 2019 through our outreach program. At that time, he was a well-known street child who had spent approximately four years on the street. According to Abdulai, he turned to the streets due to poverty and a desire for greener pasture and a better life, which did not turn out as he had hoped.

On the streets, Abdulai struggled to make a living and resorted to activities such as carrying loads for people and fetching water. Life on the streets was difficult, as he faced challenges such as a lack of safe shelter and physical abuse from street gangs. However, through consistent counseling and other psychosocial support, Don Bosco Fambul succeeded in taking Abdulai off the streets and reunited him with his mother. For the past three years, Abdulai has been thriving at home and excelling in his studies.

With support from Don BoscoFambul, he has made significant progress in school and he is on the verge of writing the WASSCE exams. Abdulai is grateful for the intervention of Don Bosco Fambul in his life and he is eager to seize additional opportunities for his personal development.
