Don Bosco Fambul Childline, with support from AEXCID and Atabal Foundation, has started a national campaign against Gender-Based Violence in the Bombali District. This outreach activities on violence and abuse against minors and young people, along with popularizing the 525 toll-free line, is a crucial step toward creating awareness and providing support for those affected.
The five-day engagement include a preventive training for various stakeholders such as school pupils, teachers, Family Support Units, women and girls, and community members. By educating these groups on what constitutes violence and abuse against women and children, how to recognize it, understanding the laws related to Gender-Based Violence, and knowing where to report such incidents, is significant to the overall well-being and safety of the community.
